Contact via phone or internet is nice, but before we actually build a house we need to sit around the table with our clients. So we get in the car regularly, and we make our trips through France, at this moment an important market. We call it our Tour de France. Two weeks in a row on the péage, on the D321, and when we run out of luck our TomTom send us into some dirt road. But recently it resulted in a few more projects, see the map.
One house in Portugal, and one house just across the border in Spain, in the Pyrenees at an altitude of 1800 meters. When you’re on the building site, mid-summer, at 1800 meters, you quickly understand why the Spanish spend the afternoon under a tree.
We make quite a few kilometers this way. Our accountant asked us to switch on the GPS-logger (for his tax-report, he says). OK, here is the result.
And sometimes our TomTom gets it almost right… but not quite. Here TomTom tries to send us to the house just across the water. Aaarghh.. no Landrover for us, so this was a 30 minutes detour…
