Some people think that living in a wooden house you will be forced to keep painting for the rest of your life. Or even worse: sanding! It is not that bad.
The sanding is not necessary so that is half of the problem gone. A wooden house needs maintenance just like any other house, and this maintenance mainly consists of painting. Or, to be more specific: cleaning and painting. The cleaning can be done with a water hose. High pressure is possible, but don’t use to much pressure from a short distance. And then finally: applying paint. Very simple. And no sanding.
There are various paint systems available on the market. They all have their own advantages, but whichever system you choose: the paint layer must be open and breathe, and it should never stop moisture.
